He Angitūtanga / The Opportunity

We're looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at CHT Hillcrest, one of our senior living sites in Māngere. You'll be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents, while ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are upheld. This is a Permanent Part time position during weekend.

Ko o Kawenga / Your Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present meals to a high standard, including portioning and plating.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety, including cleaning and waste management.
• Receive, store, and rotate kitchen supplies to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
• Support menu planning to meet dietary and cultural needs of residents.
• Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
  
  

He Kōrero Mōu / About You

• Previous experience cooking in a similar environment, ideally in aged care or healthcare.
• Able to work under pressure with a positive, professional attitude.
• A team player who can also work independently with a flexible approach.
• Physically fit, reliable, and committed to high hygiene standards.
• Good communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent service.
