This role champions a culture of care, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations. As a trusted advisor to the Executive and Board, the Head of Health & Safety provides expert guidance and thought leadership on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and health innovations. They lead a high-performing team, fostering talent and promoting a diverse, inclusive, and engaged culture across NZAA’s 18 regions. With a strong focus on strategic alignment, governance, and operational excellence, the role oversees the development of robust systems, frameworks, and initiatives that empower leaders, enhance wellbeing, and ensure a physically and psychologically safe workplace About You | Mōu You’re an experienced senior leader in health and safety, with a strong understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks and a proven ability to develop and manage effective Health & Safety Management Systems. Backed by relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualifications, you are a strategic thinker and skilled communicator, confident in influencing at all levels including executive and Board. You bring a track record of leading cultural change, improving performance, and managing risk across complex, diverse, and dispersed workforces.
