Are you an experienced architectural professional looking to work on a broad mix of project types within a supportive and well-established team?

We’re currently recruiting for a Registered Architect or experienced architectural designer to join a respected architecture firm with a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful and enduring design outcomes across New Zealand.

With decades of industry presence, this firm has a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, residential, healthcare, and community projects.

This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your design skill, technical knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex documentation requirements will be highly valued. You’ll contribute to projects at various stages – from early concept design through to delivery – and enjoy the chance to expand your skillset across different sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with project leads and directors to develop and deliver documentation across a range of commercial, community, healthcare, residential and multi-unit residential projects
  • Contribute to design development, planning, detailing, and coordination with consultants and clients
  • Maintain a high standard of technical drawing and project documentation using ArchiCAD
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and standards across all project phases

What you’ll bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in New Zealand's architectural industry
  • A key for design and creative edge
  • Strong construction knowledge and solid understanding of NZ Building Code and NZS3604
  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD
  • Confidence working within a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with councils, consultants, and clients
  • A proactive and highly efficient working style

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, values long-term career development, and is looking to contribute meaningfully to the built environment across the country.
