The Deloitte Tax team provides advice on all aspects of taxation, including corporate tax return preparation and review, international tax, transfer pricing, transaction assistance (including mergers and acquisitions and tax due diligence), structuring and governance.

We are looking for a Senior Consultant/Manager to join our Corporate and International Tax team. The team is Auckland based, and is the best at what they do. Being part of this team, you will have the opportunity to do interesting work for interesting clients and grow your career in tax.

Job Description

What will your typical day look like:

  • Helping clients navigate the complexities of the corporate and international tax world
  • Getting to know clients and their businesses
  • International tax advisory work (think double tax agreements, CFC and FIF rules, hybrids, thin capitalisation, Pillar 2, transfer pricing – and more!)
  • Corporate tax compliance
  • Interpreting, analysing and researching technical tax issues (using our AI platform to help!)
  • Coaching and developing junior members of the team
  • Inputting into corporate and international tax policy issues
  • Providing clients with expertise to help them create value and achieve their commercial objectives
  • Having fun with the team!

Qualifications

Enough about us, let’s talk about you? You will have:

  • 3+ years’ New Zealand corporate tax and compliance experience
  • Preferably current or recent experience in a Big 4/ mid tier environment
  • Technical tax knowledge
  • Proven ability to building strong relationships with clients & colleagues
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • An energetic and proactive attitude
  • Ability to learn and adapt
  • Serve as a role model for integrity, respect and appreciation of others, including their unique strengths and differences
  • A keenness to learn and grow your career
