About The Job

As a Data Engineer at AA Insurance, you'll be an integral part of our Data Engineering team, playing a role in designing, developing, and maintaining our company's Data Warehouse environment. You'll collaborate closely with other team members to ensure the seamless deployment and maintenance of robust data warehouse solutions, contributing significantly to our vision of earning the trust of every New Zealander by protecting what matters most.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the provision of the Data Warehouse to support reporting and analytical processes.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations effectively.
• Drive continuous process improvement across the Data Engineering function.
• Develop solutions to resolve business problems while adhering to data warehouse coding standards.
  
  
  

A Bit About You

• Proven experience in data warehousing/business intelligence.
• Proven SQL/ETL development experience.
• Proven cloud data engineering experience (preferably AWS Redshift)
• Nice to have experience - Talend.
• Exposure to Software Development Lifecycle, Agile, and Project Management methodologies.
• Insurance experience is an advantage.
• Strong business acumen, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Should be comfortable supporting the team with BAU Operational support work, starting work at 8:00 am (rotating roster)
