We are looking for a passionate professional to join us and become the next Safety and Wellbeing Specialist of Les Mills New Zealand.

Reporting to the Head of People & Performance you will be working with a team whose aim is to deliver premium fitness experience to our 50,000 plus members and support our 12 clubs around the country. This is a sole-charge H&S role with a broad range of responsibilities, ideal for someone who’s hands-on, action-oriented, and open to some travel.
Your main focus will be making sure we meet legal requirements, aim for best practice, and build a strong safety and wellbeing culture at Les Mills. You’ll be a collaboration pro, working closely with our SLT, clubs, external providers, vendors, and partners. At the same time, you’ll be a detail-oriented doer who’s not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
Responsibilities for this role include being the first point of contact for managing H&S incidents and advice, owning our HSMS, manage internal audit processes, safety and wellbeing project implementation and reporting to Board.
We’re looking for an outstanding Safety & Wellbeing Specialist with:
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Safety, Senior Advisor, Business Partner (or higher) role
- Strong experience with a HSMS (ecoPortal a bonus)
- Demonstrated experience ensuring H&S legal obligations are met
- Significant experience influencing and coaching management
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Detail focused, highly organised and ability to work autonomously
