Senior Financial Accountant

We’re on the lookout for a CA/CPA qualified Senior Financial Accountant with 4–5 years’ experience—someone who brings strong technical skills, thrives in a collaborative team environment, and is ready to take ownership of core financial processes in a complex, global business.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting across Orion Health’s global operations. You’ll lead month-end processes, drive improvements in reporting and compliance, and provide high-quality financial insights that support decision-making at every level of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Drive month-end close activities, ensuring critical accounting tasks are delivered with accuracy and on time.
• Prepare robust, audit-ready statutory and non-statutory financial statements across multiple entities.
• Provide timely and well-documented financial information to support external audits and internal reporting cycles.
• Manage compliance obligations across jurisdictions—from business surveys to R&D incentive reporting (e.g. the NZ tax credit scheme).
• Continuously improve financial processes and documentation to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and control.
• Identify financial reporting risks and contribute to developing practical, forward-thinking control improvements.
• Support strategic projects and initiatives that improve transparency and financial capability across the organisation.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Experience: 4–5 years experience in financial accounting, ideally within a global or technology-driven business.
• Skills:
• Deep understanding of IFRS and core accounting processes.
• Proven experience leading month-end reporting cycles.
• Confidence managing complex reporting and compliance tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving problems.
• Comfortable working with ERPs (NetSuite is a bonus); Power BI proficiency is advantageous.
• Characteristics: Self-motivated, reliable, and collaborative—with a strong sense of ownership and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Qualifications: CA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting designation.
