Cyber Security Architect - 6 Month Contract
Location - Wellington onsite
We are looking for a Cyber Security Architect to provide expert assurance services on a range of complex systems.
About The Role
You will be delivering security assurance across the full lifecycle of a large and complex ICT system from design and implementation through to go-live and ongoing assurance. This includes facilitating workshops conducting risk assessments defining non-functional security requirements validating controls and preparing Certification and Accreditation documentation for senior stakeholders.
This role will suit someone who is proactive detail-oriented and confident working with a wide range of stakeholders across a government context.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide cyber security assurance and consultancy across the system lifecycle
- Lead the development of Security Risk Assessments and NonFunctional Requirements
- Conduct design reviews control validation audits and identify remediation actions
- Prepare Certification and Accreditation memos articulating key risks and recommendations
- Collaborate closely with business units project teams and technical specialists
- Proven experience in cyber security architecture particularly in complex system environments
- Strong background in security assurance risk assessment and control validation
- Familiarity with Microsoft platforms such as Azure Power Platform and or data warehouse environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical risk in plain language
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence across various levels of a government organisation
- A collaborative pragmatic mindset with strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Indepth technical knowledge of ICT security technologies and best practices
