About the role | He Aha Te Tūranga

As Senior Manager, Marketing - Brand, Sponsorship & Communications, you'll be responsible for designing and delivering high-impact, customer-first communications across the entire member journey - from onboarding and engagement to retention and value-add services.


You'll lead the strategy and execution of direct marketing initiatives, digital content, and multi-channel campaigns that improve member experience, strengthen loyalty, and drive commercial outcomes. Alongside this, you'll oversee nib's brand presence and sponsorship portfolio to build brand equity and community connection.


You'll also coach a high-performing team, work closely with stakeholders across the NZ business and wider nib Group, and manage agency partners to bring our brand and member communications to life.


What You'll Be Doing


  • Leading strategy and delivery of all member communications and direct marketing
  • Driving initiatives that improve engagement, retention, NPS, and uptake of member services
  • Championing a customer-centric approach to communications across digital and offline channels
  • Managing nib NZ's brand strategy, digital marketing and content development
  • Overseeing sponsorship strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with brand and member value
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to improve end-to-end member experience
  • Leading a high-performing team with clear goals, support, and development opportunities
  • Managing budgets, performance tracking, and agency relationships



Please note, this is a 12 month, fixed-term contract.


About you | Ko Wai Koe

You're a strategic marketer and people leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional experiences to customers. You bring:


  • 5+ years in senior marketing roles, with a strong focus on customer or member communications, ideally within the financial services sector
  • Expertise in lifecycle and direct marketing (CRM, marketing automation, content marketing)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong analytical capability to optimise campaigns and demonstrate impact
  • Experience in managing brand and sponsorship strategies
  • A track record of leading teams and agency partners to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in insurance, health, or member-based services (ideal)
