What’s the mahi?

Are you a seasoned engineer with a passion for delivering impactful wastewater solutions? We’re looking for a Senior or Lead Wastewater Engineer to join our team – someone who brings a strong mix of process and mechanical engineering expertise, coupled with a proven ability to work directly with clients.

In this role, you’ll take the lead in modelling, designing, and delivering complex wastewater projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes for our clients. You’ll be a key part of our multidisciplinary team, helping to shape solutions that are innovative, sustainable, and future-focused.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage wastewater projects from inception through to completion, including feasibility studies, design, implementation, and commissioning.
  • Provide both process and mechanical engineering solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong, long-term relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all project aspects are aligned with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
  • Leverage your existing client base and network to identify new business opportunities and foster business development within the wastewater sector.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and new technologies, applying your knowledge to continually improve service offerings.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience.
  • Highly skilled in process modelling using Biowin and/or SUMO, wicProvide
  • Professional accreditation.
  • Strong client-facing experience, with the ability to foster relationships, manage expectations, and drive project success.
  • Proven track record of managing all process components of wastewater treatment from start to finish.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • A self-driven, charismatic, and personable individual who thrives in a client-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Established client base and network within the wastewater industry.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Chemical and Process Engineering, Wastewater Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in business development and expanding client portfolios.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
  • Project management certification highly desirable
