About The Team
Join a team that is widely regarded as experts and leaders in their field. We are looking for a Junior Manager to join our M&A Tax team. You will support clients through M&A projects, and manage a portfolio of a wide range of clients, many of which have been or will be involved in transactions.

Job Description
What will your typical day look like:
- Advising clients on all tax aspects of buy-side and sell-side transactions, including due diligence, structuring, SPA/transaction documentation review and W&I insurance process support, as well as internal restructures, capital raising and other “transaction” activity
- Leading tax advisory engagements, assisting our clients on a wide variety of matters to provide solutions and navigate complexity
- Managing tax compliance, and returns for your portfolio of clients, which typically have been or will be involved in transactions
- Helping clients navigate the complexities of the corporate and international tax world
- Getting to know clients and their businesses
- Interpreting, analysing and researching technical tax issues (using our AI platform to help!)
- Coaching and developing junior members of the team
- Inputting into tax policy issues
- Providing clients with expertise to help them create value and achieve their commercial objectives
- Having fun with the team!
Enough about us, let’s talk about you? You will have:
- 3+ years’ New Zealand corporate tax and compliance experience in a Big 4/mid tier environment. Ideally this will involve some M&A experience, but this is not necessary for high performing individuals looking for a challenge!
- An ability to manage the demands of an M&A environment (which often includes tight deadlines), and to deliver high quality client service.
- Strong technical tax knowledge.
- An ability to think laterally and issue spot (due diligence)
- Proven ability to building strong relationships with clients & colleagues
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- An energetic and proactive attitude
- An ability to learn and adapt
- Serve as a role model for integrity, respect and appreciation of others, including their unique strengths and differences
- A keenness to learn and grow your career
