Environmental Sciences – Environmental Scientist/Hazardous Materials Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety

We have an opportunity for an environmental scientist/hazardous materials consultant to join our Environmental Health and Safety team in Auckland, working on or assisting with asbestos and hazardous materials management and removal projects, offering pragmatic and cost-effective solutions for our Clients. This opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment working on diverse, multi-disciplinary projects for some of New Zealand’s largest clients. Must be a licensed Asbestos Assessor.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting asbestos and other hazardous materials surveys
  • Overseeing asbestos removal and undertaking clearance inspections
  • Carrying out Occupational Hygiene and workplace exposure assessments
  • Preparation of technical reports and management plans

Our client base and scope of our projects requires the ability to travel nationwide. Occasionally, there may be further opportunities to engage in international work.

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science
  • Licensed Asbestos Assessor - essential
  • 1 to 5 years’ professional experience with asbestos and hazardous materials consulting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
