Job Description

  • Location: Auckland, Mangere
  • Permanent, Full-Time Role
  • Hours of Work: 6:00am – 6:00pm

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping machinery running smoothly? As a Maintenance Fitter, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous operation of equipment and machinery. Using computerised systems, you’ll complete routine PM maintenance work, organise repairs, and contribute to improving production facilities—all while enhancing reliability, safety, and efficiency. Hands on learning is the best way here with support of the skilled team. Situated within our skilled maintenance team, no two days are the same. One day, you may be troubleshooting a machine breakdown: the next, tackling a water leak. If you thrive on variety and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this is the opportunity for you!

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a team player and strong communicator who enjoys working with diverse cultures. Someone adaptable, who loves problem-solving and isn’t afraid to take initiative.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • High safety awareness at all times
  • EST practicing license
  • 5+ years in manufacturing (allied trades considered)
  • Level 4 National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for data analysis
  • Experience with CMMS (Epicor or other)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to innovate and work independently
  • Sound judgment in analysing and recommending repair solutions

Desirable Skills:

  • Forklift license (3.5 tonne) & reach truck experience (1.6 tonne)
  • EWP license for elevated platform
