Job Title: Assistant Manager
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- To ensure the highest level of food and customer service are provided and strive to continually exceed customer’s expectations.
- To make marketing decision and devise promotion methods
- To manage suppliers and products, and control the stock levels
- To consult with the chefs on menu planning and purchasing policy
- To plan budget and manage the profit and loss
- To supervise chef and staff and assess staff competency
- To carry out on recruitment and staff training
- To communicate with customers, and respond to requests and feedbacks
- To ensure compliance with governmental and occupational health and safety Acts and regulations.
- To implement and reinforce restaurant standards, policies and procedures
- To handle complaints effectively and deal with difficult customers
- To carry out other duties as directed by Manager and Director
Pay rate: Minimum $24.00/ hour Maximum $28.00/ hour
Guaranteed hours of work per week: Minimum 40 hours, permanent full-time
Requirements for the job:
- At least 6 months of relevant work experience
- Qualification in management would be an advantage
- Strong understanding of business management
- Excellent problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Full time availability
- Able to work on public holidays and weekends
- No criminal record
- Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
