Experienced Baker

We are looking for a talented Baker who will have the opportunity to learn and grow within the organisation. The baker will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bread, pastries and other baked goods according to recipes and production schedules. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Baker to join our team. We are a small artisan bakery with a genuine interest in preserving and perfecting the artisan baking craft. If you have professional baking experience and a special love for the industry, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Keep the bakery area clean and organised. Ensure all equipment is maintained and cleaned according to health and safety regulations.
• Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
• Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
• Preparing pastry fillings
• Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times
• Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products
• Glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing
• Operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits
• Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment
• Interact with customers if needed, answering questions and providing information
  about baked goods.
• Other duties as requested by Management.

• Communication skills, decision making and handling issues professionally.
• Great presentation and Personal Hygiene, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• 3 years relevant experience / and or Level 4 or higher Qualification preferred

Pay: Minimum pay rate per hour will be $29.70 and the employer is willing to do up to $32.00 per hour based on experience.
