Drive and deliver construction materials such as gravel, sand, and asphalt to various sites. Ensure loads are secure, paperwork is accurate, and vehicles are well-maintained. Pre- and post-trip inspections, basic truck maintenance, and safe driving practices are essential. Full-time role with consistent hours and a supportive team.

Location: Auckland Region - we work on sites around Pokeno, Huntly, and Auckland CBD for example.
Employment Type: Full-time
Pay: $30 to $31.61 per hour.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, a minimum of 30 hours, with up to 50 maximum. Potential for overtime.

About the Role:
ROCKHARD is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Truck Driver to haul and deliver loose materials such as gravel, sand, crushed rock, and asphalt. You’ll operate a truck with a dump body and ensure materials are transported safely, accurately, and on time to a variety of job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive dump trucks to deliver materials to designated locations.

  • Inspect loads for accuracy and secure materials before transportation.

  • Use levers/cranks to dump material safely and efficiently.

  • Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections (tires, fluids, brakes, etc.).

  • Maintain accurate driver logs and complete digital ticket entries via onboard systems.

  • Keep your truck clean, well-maintained, and in excellent working condition.

  • Follow all DOT safety regulations and company compliance standards.

  • Regularly grease vehicle and perform minor maintenance (every 5,000 miles).

  • Set truck brakes properly and consistently.

  • Work with dispatch and team members to solve problems and meet project timelines.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of 18 years old with a valid CDL and clean driving record.

  • A Class 4 Driver's License Minimum Required
  • Experience with trucks or similar heavy equipment maintenance preferred.

  • Ability to identify and verify various hauled materials.

  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal.

  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing site or weather conditions.

  • Knowledge of truck maintenance and basic mechanical awareness.

  • At least 1 years experience in the role, or similar expertise.
