Cabinet maker

Cabinet maker is required.

Requirements: NZ Level 4 qualification or at least 2 years of relevant work experience

Hourly rate: $28

Hours per week: 40 hours

Job duties:

• Interpreting and reading the drawings and designs of cabinets related to kitchen, wardrobe, laundry, cabinetry or other specialty furniture
• selecting and working with materials such as timber, ply, particle board, stainless steel and synthetic wood
• Selecting the appropriate materials, fittings, and tools for each task.
• Cutting resources down to size, as needed.
• Planning an effective approach to work to ensure that each project is completed on time.
• Assembling parts and elements by using proper tools
• Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers and shelves
• Inspecting each completed item to ensure that it has been constructed accurately, and that the necessary finishes have been applied.
• Advising on appropriate care for finished products upon request.
