We are seeking to appoint a Sales Specialist - Surgical Endoscopy & Customer Solutions (NZ North) responsible for managing and developing an existing territory and portfolio of clients. The role is key to Olympus NZ's commitment to enhancing market presence and delivering top-tier surgical endoscopy products.

Reporting to the NZ Business Manager, you can expect to be involved in educating, promoting, and driving sales of our Surgical Endoscopy & Customer Solutions portfolios across NZ North Island. You will be committed to providing exceptional service to our customers and growing the visibility of our products in your territory.

In addition, you will:

  • Achieve sales and profit targets for a defined product portfolio.
  • Promote the Olympus brand and products through collaborative teamwork and effective sales strategies.
  • Provide in-theatre support for customers, with a commitment to spending at least 3 days per week in operating theatres.
  • Develop strong relationships with existing accounts and actively pursue new sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Salesforce system, tracking sales opportunities, customer contacts, and territory plans.
  • Offer post-installation training and support to ensure optimal product usage and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to reporting on sales, market activities, competition, and customer trends.

What we are looking for:

You are a seasoned Capital Medical Sales Professional with the ability to work towards and execute long term goals. You are motivated to succeed, pivot when challenges are presented and thrive working toward targets. Coupled with your sales experience you will be engaging and ready to delight our customers. In addition, you possess:

  • A medical background or tertiary qualifications in health or science, with professional sales experience.
  • Experience in a field sales role, ideally within the healthcare or medical device industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A results-driven mindset with the determination to succeed.
  • Planning, organizational, and project management skills, with an attention to detail.
  • A willingness to travel and provide hands-on support in operating theatres.
  • The ability to work independently and as partof a collaborative team.
