This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor or Associate (3–6+ years' PQE) who has a genuine interest in employment law and is looking to develop their career in a leading specialist practice. Whether you come from a general litigation, employment, or even a criminal law background, if you're keen to deepen your expertise in employment law, this could be the perfect next step.

About The Role

You’ll work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a range of interesting and challenging matters – from providing day-to-day strategic employment advice, managing workplace investigations and disputes, through to supporting on complex litigation in the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court. You’ll also be involved in privacy, health and safety, governance and compliance issues, with the opportunity to grow your profile as a trusted adviser to high-profile employer clients.

About You

We’re interested in hearing from lawyers with:

  • 3–6+ years’ PQE (New Zealand qualified)
  • Solid litigation or criminal law experience, and a strong interest in specialising in employment law
  • A current NZLS practising certificate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach and the confidence to work with senior clients
  • A commitment to delivering clear, practical legal advice with commercial insight
