The Downer Queenstown ITS team are looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join their team. At Downer, you'll be hands-on with the latest in Intelligent Transport Systems, ensuring our roads are smarter, safer, and more efficient.
As An Electrical Engineer You Will Be Responsible For
- Establishing delivery and installation schedules for machines, switchgear, cables and fittings
- Supervising the operation and maintenance of power stations, transmission and distribution systems and industrial plants
- Interpreting specifications, drawings, standards and regulations relating to electric power equipment and use
- Organising and managing resources used in the supply of electrical components, machines, appliances and equipment
Pay range: $40 - $47 per hour

You will be a team player with an organised and systematic approach to the working environment
You Must Have
- A qualification in electrical engineering, (NZQF Level 7 or higher)
- Class 1 full license
- Flexibility is needed as this role will require some night shift work and travel/working away
- 3 years relevant experience in power electronic design or equivalent
- Be reliable and hard working
- Experience with traffic systems
- Good communication skills
