Mō Te Tūranga - About The Role
The Project Manager is responsible for providing project planning, management and oversight for key initiatives and implementation projects, ensuring first that these initiatives and projects are closely aligned with ANZ Technology strategic priorities, and second, that these initiatives and projects are completed on-time, within scope and budget and with an extremely high quality of deliverables
You’ll have capability in coordinating resources and interdependencies across multiple streams of work. The Project Manager will provide structure and leadership to a broad, multi-disciplinary project team comprised of internal people, vendors, and contractors. Experience in large, complex, dynamic environments is essential. To be successful in this role, you’ll be a confident communicator with experience in negotiation and influencing skills.
Role Type: 12 to 18 month Contract; Full-time

The Project Manager is critical to making this happen and key responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery, from inception through to delivery of small to medium to sized initiatives and/or key pieces of work within programmes or projects
- Work collaboratively with key business owners and stakeholders to deliver the best outcome for the customer
- Work collaboratively with 3rd party vendors to deliver the best outcome for the customer
- Provide financial budget oversight across project deliverables
- You will operate across multiple teams to ensure delivery is aligned
- Operate with stakeholders and influence when required to ensure project delivery
- Support and contribute to Project Governance deliverables including project progress reporting and escalations
- Identify and manage the risks, issues and dependencies throughout the delivery framework
- Apply sound management principles and work within the ANZ Delivery Frameworks
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- 2-5 years' project management experience.
- Communication skills; ability to articulate messages and communicate well with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation. From executive level to project team members.
- Ability to collaborate, negotiate with, and influence people.
- Familiarity with software delivery frameworks and controls to deliver technology solutions
- Ability to build and form strong relationships and teams.
- Project management/organisational skills; excellent time management and planning skills
- Adaptability and flexibility; especially key in a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities and ambiguity
- A proactive and can-do attitude
- Experience preferred across all project management methodologies and ability to adapt those methodologies to suit each project
- Ability to actively listen, use judgement and make sound decisions.
