An opportunity has opened to join the Mainfreight family in Timaru to take on a new and exciting adventure!

We are looking for an experienced class 5 driver with a growth mindset who is ready for a new challenge and is not afraid to get stuck in and bring quality and a positive attitude to work every day.

As a Mainfreight driver, you are a key player in our team’s operations. A successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the continual improvement of our services.

An ideal candidate would have:

• Current Class 5 Drivers Licence
• Dangerous Goods Licence and Fork Hoist Licence (can be arranged for the right applicant)
• Minimum of 2 years class 5 driving experience
• Ability to work well with a team
• Well presented with good communication skills
• A can-do, friendly attitude and a love for customers, are essential

**Please bear in mind this role runs on the hours of Monday-Friday 7am-2pm.

To be considered for this position you must:

• Be a New Zealand citizen or resident
• Pass a Pre-Employment Background Check and Drug and Alcohol Test
• Have driven in New Zealand for at least 12 months
• Pass a driving assessment
• Be familiar with South Canterbury
