An opportunity has opened to join the Mainfreight family in Timaru to take on a new and exciting adventure!

We are looking for an experienced class 4 driver who is ready for a new challenge and is not afraid to get stuck in and bring quality and a positive attitude to work every day.

As a Mainfreight driver, you are a key player in our team’s operations. A successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the continual improvement of our services.

The role will include but not be limited to:

• Point to point pick-up and deliveries
• Scanning pick-up and delivery notes
• Fork hoist loading
• Run planning
• Exceeding customer’s expectations
• Service with a smile
• Ability to work well with a team
• Day to day vehicle maintenance (include truck wash)

** It is preferred that the applicant is Timaru-based

You will be required to:

• Hold a Class 4 licence and prove your knowledge/confidence behind the wheel
• Dangerous Goods licence and Fork Hoist License (can be arranged for the right applicant)
• Driven in New Zealand for at least 12 months and are familiar with South Canterbury
