To support our digital transformation kaupapa, we are searching for a Network Engineer.
- Location: Hawke’s Bay
- Team: EIT | Te Pūkenga Digital
- Arrangement: Full-time, Fixed-Term
- Reporting to: Systems Delivery Manager
The Network Engineer plays a key role in enabling robust, secure, and high-performing network connectivity across cloud and on-premise environments. This role contributes to the overall success of EIT through leading the design, implementation, and support of networking infrastructure that underpins digital services for ākonga, kaimahi, and partners.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- A degree or equivalent experience in networking or IT infrastructure
- At least 5 years in a 2nd/3rd level networking role, ideally with CCNP/CCIE-level knowledge
- Proven experience in network design, migration, and vendor collaboration
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with tools like HP IMC or ATMF
- Experience working with Azure and hybrid cloud environments
- Experience (or clear knowledge of) upholding and advancing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your mahi
- Experience (or clear knowledge of) supporting equity, inclusion and recognition, particularly for Māori, Pacific, and disabled ākonga and their whānau
- A growth mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and reflective practice
