About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a registered pharmacist looking to take the next step in their career and become part of a team making a direct impact on cancer care in New Zealand. Based at our modern compounding facility in Avondale, Auckland, you’ll join a dedicated clinical trials team focused on supporting ground-breaking cancer therapies through the preparation of investigational medicines.

Working full-time on a day shift ( Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm ), you’ll play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality, aseptically prepared products for clinical trials. You’ll be responsible for the management of investigational medicinal products, supporting trial documentation, responding to sponsor and site queries, and ensuring trial batches meet the highest quality standards.

This role blends clinical pharmacy knowledge with manufacturing oversight, offering a unique opportunity to build specialist skills in oncology, quality systems, and clinical research. You’ll collaborate closely with research organisations, clinical teams, and internal quality and operations departments, gaining exposure to the full clinical trials process from initiation through to patient impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and utilise your clinical skills to improve the outcome for cancer patients
  • Management of Investigational Medicinal Products with clinical trials
  • Manage study binders to ensure trial documentation are kept up to date
  • Respond to clinical trial enquiries
  • Attend site initiation and monitoring visits from research monitors
  • Contribute to process improvement
  • Provide production oversight for clinical trial batch orders
  • Provide production support to all clinical trial process steps where required
  • Ensure all complaints are entered into the quality system
  • Be actively involved in corrective and preventative action items for clinical trial complaints
  • Build and maintain relationships with clinical trial customers

About You You’re a registered pharmacist with experience in New Zealand-based pharmacy settings. You’re collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care. You communicate well with a range of health professionals and take ownership of your workload. You’re eager to grow your skills in clinical trials with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) focus and thrive in a role that blends precision with purpose.

Previous experience in clinical trials, hospital pharmacy or cleanrooms will be highly regarded.
