About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner to help us enable the successful delivery of critical work within our Modernising value stream.
As a Product Owner in the Te Pūtahitanga squad, working with your Squad Lead and Squad members, you will enable the team to optimise the delivery of value through a clearly articulated and transparent backlog of work.
You will work in partnership with other Product Owners and various teams to align outcomes, resources, and practices that enable organisational agility and the best outcomes for the value stream and Southern Cross.
About The Role
Your squad will contribute to business excellence and financial sustainability by migrating legacy API gateway configurations to a target microservices platform, while working closely with external teams to update the consuming systems. To achieve this goal the squad will also need to support the migration of consuming systems from legacy identity services to Azure B2C.This role will require you to engage closely with our value stream enablers on all aspects of delivery to ensure the business are fully aware, engaged, and prepared for resulting change.

- Skilled at navigating ambiguity and breaking down large, complex challenges into manageable, actionable pieces of work
- Agile and empowering leadership philosophy and approach
- Inspire your team to stay focused on the big picture—guiding them to rise above the noise, maintain clarity, and deliver with purpose.
- Proven experience in delivering validated customer value through articulating a clear vision, developing product roadmaps and applying data-based insights to make prioritisation decisions
- Excellent stakeholder management experience including the ability to influence effectively and bring people on the journey
