What the role involves:
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager this is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and lead the execution of the Carl’s Jr. Marketing plans. The Carl’s Jr. Brand Manager is accountable for helping develop the strategy and implementation of the full marketing programme and projects to achieve commercially successful outcomes.
- Contribute to the achievement of the brand’s business strategy and goals by providing specialist marketing advice and leadership to brand stakeholders
- In consultation with the Carl’s Jr. broader cross functional Team, plan, implement and communicate marketing activities and product initiatives to our Restaurant teams on a regular basis to ensure integration and support for programs and initiatives
- Help develop and manage the Carl’s Jr. Annual Brand Calendar and NPD pipeline to maximize sales revenue, cost of sales and profit ahead of our Annual Budget
- Maintain timelines and processes for the marketing calendar to ensure effective and timely development and execution of programs within defined budget constraints
- Co-ordinate with other departments to ensure marketing and product initiatives are aligned with global brand strategic direction
- Effectively track marketing and product performance; gather consumer insights and analyses program effectiveness. Share findings with company leadership and other departments and integrate findings into future marketing activities and product initiatives
- Manage relationships with our Franchisor partner (CKE), external agencies and vendors to develop integrated customer communication materials. Whilst working collaboratively and professionally with internal customer; establish and maintain strong communication across the business
Skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification with a business-related endorsement
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Marketing/Brand Management in either QSR (Quick Service Restaurant), FMCG, retail or similar industries
- Demonstrated skills in business management, budgeting, planning and reporting, combined with the ability to engage key decision makers and drive strategy
- Strong business acumen and be commercially minded – comfortable using data, understands cost drivers, evaluates opportunities, and builds on any learnings
- Sound relationship management – comfortable with agencies as well as all stakeholders with varied communication styles
- Strong planning and time-management ability to efficiently deal with multiple competing priorities
- Is collaborative and consultative with the ability to work cross-functionally and within a team
- Strong report writing skills; ability to provide meaningful and accurate data to Senior Management level
- Ability to be self-directed and motivated, demonstrating a proactive and innovative approach with a high level of initiative
- Able to recognise situations that require the use of appropriate negotiation techniques, and the skills to persuade others to reach mutually beneficial agreements
- Experience with digital marketing including social media platforms
- Proficient user of MS Office products, including Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Design software experience an advantage – Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
- Some experience with DSLR Photography, photo manipulation and retouching, experience co-ordinating content photoshoots preferred
