CARTERS Cambridge Manufacturing has an opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to lead the Frame & Truss production teams.
We are seeking an experienced people leader with sound manufacturing knowledge and understanding of the processes within a frame and truss manufacturing environment.
About the role
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead a production team of manufacturing operators and carpenters, ensuring production targets are met; safety and quality is adhered to while training and developing your team.
Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Lead the team to deliver products to customer expectations and requirements
- Lead a team of between 6 and 10 team members
- Manage your team of employees, temps and contractors to deliver performance expectations
- Work cooperatively with the manufacturing leadership team to deliver quality product and service
- Ensure appropriate training and development of staff
- Ensure systems are in place to minimise waste
- Ensure customer delivery dates are met
- Ensure a culture of continuous improvement
About you
You will be highly motivated and have a passion for developing a high-performance culture to meet business objectives while possessing the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role in a multi shift environment.
- Strong technical and tactical experience and comprehensive understanding of small team leadership within the building/frame and truss manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with regard to technical queries and the ability to confidently provide solutions or remedial actions for your team
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Confidence in computer controlled operating environment
