Position Available: Software Tester

Job Description:

As a Software Tester at GPOS Limited, you will be responsible for testing software applications to ensure they meet functional specifications and quality standards. You will work closely with development teams to identify, document, and resolve software issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Execution

Ø Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans and test cases to verify software functionality.

Ø Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure software reliability, usability, and performance.

Ø Identify, analyze, and document software defects and inconsistencies.

Bug Identification & Reporting

Ø Test system modifications to prepare for deployment.

Ø Report and track defects using bug-tracking tools and work with developers to resolve issues.

Ø Ensure that all identified defects are properly documented with detailed steps for replication.

Regression & Performance Testing

Ø Conduct regression testing to ensure software updates do not introduce new issues.

Ø Perform load and stress testing to evaluate system performance and scalability.

Ø Assess software compatibility across different devices, operating systems, and browsers.

Collaboration with Development Teams

Ø Work closely with software developers and other teams to review requirements and clarify functionality.

Ø Participate in software design and specification reviews to contribute a testing perspective.

Ø Validate system enhancements and bug fixes before release to production.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

Ø Maintain up-to-date testing documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.

Ø Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality assurance policies.

Ø Assist in continuous improvement of software testing strategies and automation frameworks.

User Acceptance & Post-Deployment Monitoring

Ø Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by working with stakeholders to validate software functionality.

Ø Monitor software performance after deployment and report any post-release issues.

Ø Ensure software meets functional, performance, and security benchmarks before release

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Equivalent practical experience (3-5 years professional software testing) accepted in lieu of degree.

Proven test design & execution skills (STLC, test cases, defect tracking).

Strong analytical/debugging abilities with quality ownership.

Excellent collaborative communication for cross-functional teamwork.

Agile environment adaptability.
