Te Tūranga – About The Role

As an Operations Manager you’ll be responsible for leading a team of 30+ team members with a core focus on our outbound transport functions. You’ll also,

  • Be the driving force around Safety and Wellbeing initiatives
  • Ensure key metrics are met and your team knows what great looks like
  • Foster positive working relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure that all operational departments are resourced, run efficiently and are regularly being reviewed for continual improvement.
  • Consistent forward planning, organising, change management, direction and control.
  • Maintain operation within budgeted constraints – challenging what can be done smarter.

This role will cover our afternoon shift – Monday to Friday 2pm to 10:30pm.

Our ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have proven operational experience and knowledge in a complex Supply Chain environment
  • A confident people leader who can inspire and motivate the team to high performance
  • Be an expert user of warehouse and transport management systems and technology
  • Able to think on your feet and be responsive in a fast-paced environment where speed and quality are equally important.
  • Have strategic decision-making skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong organisational skills in order to manage multiple priorities
  • Champion all aspects of health & safety
