What You'll Do
- Collaborate closely with the Agile Team to analyse business processes, procedures, and user requirements in order to establish clear system requirements that align with organisational goals.
- Lead the design of systems and applications by producing comprehensive documentation for both new developments and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Undertake hands-on development and rigorous testing of software solutions to ensure they meet agreed specifications and quality standards.
- Create detailed development and support documentation while providing expert advice regarding applications to enable effective operation of support functions.
- Diagnose, test, and resolve production incidents for assigned applications, ensuring minimal disruption to users and stakeholders.
- Work with modern Java features (Java 11+) and Spring Boot to create and maintain RESTful APIs that power user-friendly digital experiences.
- Develop engaging front-end interfaces using React, ensuring accessibility and usability for all users.
- Utilise Apache Kafka for reliable messaging between distributed systems within the application architecture.
- Leverage Kubernetes for container orchestration to ensure scalable deployment of services across environments.
