What You'll Do
- Meticulously document existing business processes whilst designing new workflows that are aligned with organisational objectives and established best practices.
- Employ project management tools such as Jira to monitor progress, manage tasks efficiently, and ensure transparency throughout all phases of project execution.
- Apply your expertise in Agile methodologies—including Scrum or Kanban—to facilitate effective teamwork and promote the achievement of project milestones.
- Discern trends, patterns, and anomalies within complex data sets to inform strategic decision-making and underpin continuous improvement efforts.
- Act as the principal liaison between development teams, application support personnel, and business stakeholders to guarantee clear communication and mutual understanding of goals.
- Assist in compiling detailed business requirements so that all activities are precisely defined and correspond with stakeholder expectations.
- Convey project status updates, issues, risks, and mitigation strategies effectively to all relevant parties during the entirety of the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate the seamless transition of completed project deliverables to Application Support and Operations teams for ongoing stewardship.
- Ensure the preparation of comprehensive documentation—including runbooks and support models—for smooth integration into standard operational procedures.
- Maintain current risk logs while proactively managing mitigation measures to minimise potential disruptions.
- Demonstrated capacity to facilitate constructive dialogue among diverse stakeholder groups through refined interpersonal skills.
- Extensive experience in business analysis within information technology environments, particularly those involving infrastructure, software applications, or cloud computing platforms.
- Proven record of guiding agile teams employing frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban towards shared objectives with efficiency.
- Practical familiarity with project management tools like Jira for monitoring progress and coordinating deliverables across multiple streams of work.
- Comprehensive understanding of IBM Power Platform, IBM i systems, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes orchestration tools, or analogous technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL for database querying coupled with experience utilising data visualisation tools such as Power BI for clear presentation of findings.
- Advanced competence in Excel/MS Office suite for documentation purposes as well as reporting and analytical tasks.
- Thorough knowledge of cloud computing platforms including IBM Cloud or Google Cloud services.
- Programming capabilities in Python or R would be advantageous for automating processes or conducting sophisticated analyses.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog is desirable; familiarity with financial services environments would also be beneficial.
