Lead LV/HV projects across NZ with Downer. Based in Auckland, deliver essential energy infrastructure with impact and purpose.
THE ROLE
Take on a vital role in advancing New Zealand's low-voltage (LV) and high-voltage (HV) energy infrastructure. As a Project Manager in Downer's Northern Energy team, you will be based in our Auckland office, overseeing the planning and delivery of essential projects that energise communities throughout the country.
You will manage the technical delivery of projects from start to finish-covering estimation, resource planning, contractor coordination, and client reporting, ensuring that every detail meets Downer's high standards for safety, quality, and performance. Collaborating with engineering and construction teams across regions, you will help bring impactful and sustainable projects to life.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing project delivery to meet scope, time, and budget requirements using Downer's project management framework.
- Managing suppliers, subcontractors, and construction teams across various worksites.
- Offering technical input and support, from engineering documentation through to commissioning.
- Ensuring that zero harm and quality standards are integrated throughout all project stages.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while reporting project progress.
ABOUT YOU
You're an experienced project leader with a commitment to technical excellence, safety, and collaborative success.
- Demonstrated success in delivering low-voltage (LV) and high-voltage (HV) electrical projects.
- Proven experience in project management within the infrastructure, energy, or utilities sectors.
- Preferably possess a tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
