GHD is actively seeking a highly motivated and skilled civil engineer to join us as Senior Engineer – Engineers Rep L3 for our New Zealand Transport Infrastructure business group..
Based in Auckland, the Level 3 Engineers Representative will play a vital role ensuring the smooth execution of our civil infrastructure projects to the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. In this role you will contribute to building and strengthening our civil and transport business through the construction phase of project delivery, coaching and mentoring our people while offering innovative solutions for our clients across the government and private sectors.

GHD is actively seeking a highly motivated and skilled civil engineer to join us as Senior Engineer – Engineers Rep L3 for our New Zealand Transport Infrastructure business group..
Based in Auckland, the Level 3 Engineers Representative will play a vital role ensuring the smooth execution of our civil infrastructure projects to the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. In this role you will contribute to building and strengthening our civil and transport business through the construction phase of project delivery, coaching and mentoring our people while offering innovative solutions for our clients across the government and private sectors.
In this role you will:
- Take on the role of Engineers Representative L3 in Civil Infrastructure project delivery
- Manage design stakeholders to further best-for-project outcomes
- Lead technical delivery teams
- Act as Project Manager for medium-sized projects, responsible for project documentation (scope of work etc.) and managing client interactions.
- Proactively manage scope deviations and promptly advise the project team of impact against current working agreements.
- Plan, lead and coordinate resources and ensure project technical & commercial outcomes and client expectations are met
- A degree qualified engineer (Civil) with at least 8 years’ experience in the field
- You will be certified to the NZTA accreditation to Engineer’s Representative Level 3 or be able to clearly demonstrate the ability to achieve this accreditation.
- Proven experience in delivery of transport infrastructure projects with a sound understanding of other civil engineering sectors, particularly around drainage, planning and environmental.
- Strong working knowledge of NZS3910:2013 and 2023
- Client focussed with a growth mindset and ownership mentality
- Proactive, analytical with strong problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Possess a valid New Zealand drivers licence
