Our Opportunity
We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our engineering team at our Quality Bakers manufacturing site in East Tamaki, Auckland. You will support the development and implementation of electrical and automation plans in order to optimize manufacturing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the development of and implementation of strategic capital investment plans in particular, site plans covering electrical and automation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions that align with production goals and quality standards
  • Monitor and maintain automation equipment to minimize downtime and resolve issues in electrical, software and hardware components
  • Analyse production data to identify inefficiencies and propose automation solutions to enhance productivity, energy efficiency and cost effectiveness

About You

In order to make this role a success we are looking for a registered electrical or automation engineer with experience in the Food, Baking, or Diary manufacturing industries.

Other experience, qualifications and skillsets we're looking for, include:

  • Demonstrated engineering experience in an automation/electrical role with an Electrical trade compliant qualification
  • BMS/SCADA or Plant Master experience
  • Strong PLC root cause analysis for timely breakdown resolutions
  • Process flow understanding and an ability to follow P&IDs
  • EWRB registration
