DSV Air & Sea is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Freight Forwarder, Export Sea in Auckland.


The position is responsible for arranging and directing the transportation and shipment of export consignments from origin to destination by compiling, completing and verifying required documents in accordance with company policy and procedure and external body regulations.


Your typical day at DSV:

  • Coordinate and process export sea freight consignments in line with customer expectations, KPIs, SOPs, and management directives.

  • Ensure data is entered accurately and on time in CargoWise One (CW1), including ECNs and PRAs.

  • Collaborate with the Export Sea team to maintain high standards of quality, service, and compliance.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, carriers, co-loaders, and other service providers locally and globally.

  • Identify and resolve export issues by working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Plan and prioritise shipments via the Export Workbench to meet deadlines and milestone targets.

  • Perform freight calculations, including invoice costings, GST, and load planning based on space and weight constraints.

  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives and assist with implementation.

  • Provide support to the Senior Team Lead and Manager with daily operations and ad hoc tasks or projects as required.


About you:

  • Solid understanding of freight forwarding operations, with experience using CargoWise One and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).

  • Knowledge of industry regulations, including RACA, IATA, and Dangerous Goods compliance.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to present information clearly.

  • Resilient under pressure, able to manage conflict and maintain professionalism.

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting deadlines and accuracy standards.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate and resolve issues efficiently.
