Industrial Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our Dunedin team to prioritise and execute installation, maintenance, and repair of all site assets. You will work collaboratively with the Maintenance team to fault-find, diagnose, and restore performance expectations of manufacturing, packing, and building equipment. Your focus will be on continuous improvement and efficiencies in site utilities, production plant, and equipment, while upholding our Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety routines and requirements.

Key Responsibilities As An Industrial Maintenance Technician
- Prioritising and executing installation, maintenance, and repair activities for all site assets to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
- Collaborating with the Maintenance Team to identify and resolve equipment faults, diagnose issues, and restore performance expectations of manufacturing, packing, and building equipment.
- Actively participating in Preventive Maintenance (PM) practices, including developing and implementing PM tasks to prevent equipment failures and reduce maintenance costs.
- Performing mechanical work, such as packing machine product changes, and other tasks as required by the management team to support production and site operations.
- Focusing on continuous improvement and efficiencies in site utilities, production plant, and equipment to optimise performance and reduce waste.
- Actively upholding and participating in the site's Food Safety and Quality routines and requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Actively upholding and participating in the site's Health and Safety routines and requirements to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Providing support to the site leadership team as needed to achieve site goals and objectives.
About You
- Minimum 3+ years of FMCG maintenance experience is a MUST!
- Minimum Trade Certificate or modern equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or engineering)
- NZ Driver's Licence
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Team player with great people skills
- Proven diagnostic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with fixed plant engineering maintenance practices (e.g., welding, turning)
- Computer literacy with MS Office and Computer Maintenance Management System
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance routines
- Ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines
- Service and Quality focus with attention to detail
- Organised approach to daily routines with good organisational and time management skills
