Our Auckland team is looking for 2 experienced and qualified Line Mechanics to join our 2nd response crew.

About the role:

We are looking for someone who treats safety as a priority and is a great team player! You will be on a 12hr rostered shift and are willing and able to go on a standby roster which includes evenings and weekend work.

This role involves regular interaction with the public, giving you the perfect opportunity to showcase your passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This is your chance to join a tight-knit team that always has each other’s backs!

  • Construction and maintenance of electrical lines to customer and Network requirements
  • Install and replace electricity network pole structure and overhead conductors
  • Ensure relevant field paperwork, incident reports, inspection documentation, asset information and other relevant paperwork are completed
  • Repair Or recommend remedial work
  • Documenting faults and testing
  • Be mindful, be present, be safe for yourself, workmates, customers, the public, networks, and the environment.


About you:

We're on the lookout for an experienced Line Mechanic with a proven commitment to safety. In this role, you’ll take on a variety of jobs, working 12-hour rostered shifts, including callouts and weekend work. You’ll need to be confident working independently in the field while also being a dependable team player.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • NZ Distribution Line Mechanic qualification with a current NZ EWRB Practicing licence
  • Solid experience as a Line Mechanic and have minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Line Mechanic
  • A full, clean Class 2 NZ driver’s licence (essential) and Class 4 will be an advantage
  • A great work attitude and willingness to be part of a diverse team along with a strong focus to health & safety
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work under minimum supervision
