Archway Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Project Accountant for a critical three-year programme of work. This is a perfect opportunity for a developing accountant looking to build a well-rounded finance skill set in a role that blends financial control, business partnering, and audit-ready reporting.

This organisation delivers vital public services and is currently undertaking a major, multi-year programme of work. The finance team is experienced, collaborative, and committed to high standards. They now need a confident Project Accountant to join them and support the financial management of this important initiative.
The Role
The Project Accountant will support the Finance Manager and wider team over the next three years as they deliver this organisation-wide programme. You’ll manage all financial transactions related to the project, while helping develop new templates, workpapers, and processes that meet current accounting standards and audit expectations.
This is a varied, hands-on role that will evolve over time – offering exposure to:
Role Requirements
We’re looking for a CA-qualified or near-qualified accountant with strong Excel skills and some grounding in Public Sector or Crown Entity accounting. Audit experience is a bonus, especially if you’re now looking to move into an internal finance role.

Role Requirements

You’ll Be Someone Who
- Understands accounting standards and audit processes
- Is comfortable working with variance analysis, financial reporting and management reporting reporting

- $95K–$101K salary (depending on experience)
- 3-year fixed-term role
