To be considered for this position, you will have either 3 years of relevant experience or a NZQA equivalent Diploma at level 4 in a relevant subject (Culinary). You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently to reach goals. You must be able to multitask and will be able to complete work in set time frames.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Be punctual and present in the correct uniform

• Ensuring the quality of raw ingredients & other food items being used for cooking

• Preparing and cooking food to specific customer orders.

• Regulating the temperatures of ovens/grills/refrigerators and other cooking equipment

• Ensuring stored food is handled in a safe manner according to protocols and temperature requirements.

• Customer Service, including selling goods & services to customers when required.

• Store cleanliness & Organisation

• Preparing specific menu items to meet the special dietary requirements of customers/their orders.

• Ensure you comply with policies and standards & conduct yourself both effectively & efficiently

• Ensure all store & legislative cleaning standards are upheld at all times including Health & Safety, Food Safety standards etc.

• The role may involve some training of other new kitchen staff, as required.

We are looking at a minimum of 30 hours per week for this role.

Pay Rate: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Hours of work: Monday – Sunday between hours of 9:30am - 11:30pm on a rostered basis
