We are a leading IT solutions company based in Auckland, specialising in designing and delivering customised e-commerce platforms for clients across various industries. Our mission is to empower businesses with scalable, secure, and user-friendly digital commerce systems. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our development team and play a critical role in building high-performance e-commerce solutions tailored to our clients’ needs. This role requires hands-on technical expertise and a sound understanding of New Zealand’s e-commerce and privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain customisable e-commerce platform components as part of client projects
• Build both front-end and back-end functionalities such as product listings, checkout systems, user accounts, and content management features
• Develop and integrate secure payment interfaces with support for multi-currency and multiple gateways
• Create logistics and order-tracking modules to streamline delivery operations for clients
• Ensure that all solutions comply with relevant New Zealand regulations including the Fair Trading Act, Privacy Act, and Electronic Transactions Act
• Work with third-party APIs, including payment gateways, shipping providers, and CRM systems
• Monitor performance, conduct debugging, and implement optimization strategies for client platforms
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code, and participate in peer code reviews
• Develop and run automated test cases to ensure platform stability and reliability
• Document system architecture, integration workflows, and deployment procedures
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, project managers, and clients to refine technical specifications
• Stay updated on local and international e-commerce technologies, compliance trends, and market expectations

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• 2-3 years of hands-on software development experience
• Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Java, C#, Python, Node.js, or PHP
• Solid experience in building and deploying e-commerce platforms, particularly payment and logistics integrations
• Familiarity with compliance requirements specific to New Zealand’s digital commerce environment
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Vue.js is preferred
• Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously with a focus on quality and security
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong verbal and written communication in English
