The RoleIn the Audit team, our role mainly focuses on working within a team environment to give an audit opinion over the financial statements / Annual Reports of a variety of entities such as For-Profit Entities, Charities, Trusts, OAG Clients, Iwi’s, and Limited Partnerships.

We understand that life happens outside of work and sometimes your schedule needs to shift. We offer flexible working arrangements to ensure you stay connected to your team and committed to your clients while also managing your personal responsibilities. Our Flexible working policy allows you to work your core hours between 10am – 3pm, and gives you the flexibility to make up the remainder of your hours when it suits. We also don’t believe in working more than a 37.5-hour week. However, if you are ever required to work more than these hours then BDO Wellington will accommodate you for this.

Key Duties Include
- Raise any material journal or presentational adjustments to ensure each client complies with Accounting Standards.
- At the end of the audit process, supply them with an Audit Completion Report which outlines any recommendations on ways to improve controls or processes.
- Attend Stocktakes and ensure the stock listing and stock take procedures can be relied upon
- Complete Agreed Upon Procedures
- Complete Review Engagements
- Draft Audit Opinions
- Draft Audit Completion Reports
- Complete Interim Audits to understand the system documentation, controls and risks surrounding an entity
