Your Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Electrician: NZ Registered Electrician with at least 4 years of technical experience.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in protection systems, SCADA, PLCs, and communication networks.
- High Voltage Experience: Familiar with HV systems, substations, or power transmission.
- Independent and Decisive: Able to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Safety Focused: Strong commitment to safety standards.
About the Role:
As a Power Technician, you’ll be a vital part of our Maintenance Division, responsible for:
- Maintaining, testing, and installing protection systems, SCADA, and communication networks.
- Diagnosing faults, conducting system tests, and installing protection relays.
- Providing technical support to engineering and operations teams.
- Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical network.
About You:
- Tertiary Qualification: Relevant technical qualification with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
- EWRB Registered: Current registration is essential.
- Can-Do Attitude: A proactive approach and willingness to go above and beyond.
