This is an exciting time at Watercare! This role plays an integral part in shaping the future of Auckland's wastewater infrastructure!
Reporting to the Team Lead - Wastewater Planning Delivery, the focus of this role is to deliver high value and complexity wastewater planning projects in line with Watercare's Asset Management Plan (AMP). Sitting in the Strategy and Planning unit, the Wastewater Planning Delivery team picks up projects from the business need stage and runs them through feasibility and the delivery of concept designs ahead of handover to our Detailed Design teams. This phase is critical to the shaping of the overall project implementation and addressing key technical and stakeholder requirements to ensure key risks are addressed prior to obtaining funding for subsequent phases.

- Progressing the delivery of planning activities associated with the AMP with a focus on highly complex and significant projects and programmes across our wastewater treatment plants and wastewater networks.
- Ensuring that the feasibility phases of our AMP are progressing in a cost-efficient manner and to schedule. You will be independently leading projects and identifying solutions, and delivering infrastructure and operational outcomes that meet our business, community, mana whenua, stakeholder and operational expectations.

Your Skills And Background Also Includes
- Tertiary level qualification (engineering, construction, sciences, planning, environmental)
- 5+ years engineering and/or project management experience
- Management of consultant and contractors on multi-disciplinary projects
- Large scale project and programme financial and contract management
- Water industry experience is desirable, as is formal project management training.
