He Angitūtanga / The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Safety Adviser to join our National Support Office in Auckland. This pivotal role is responsible for driving continuous improvement in food safety performance across the Ministry of Education (MoE) portfolio. You'll work closely with stakeholders to analyse trends, develop best practice standards, and implement systems that ensure compliance and excellence in food safety.

Ko o Kawenga / Your Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of food safety systems and initiatives across the business.
• Analyse performance trends and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Deliver training and coaching to lift food safety standards and awareness.
• Provide expert advice and lead investigations into serious food and personal safety events.
• Act as the superuser for our food safety system (SafeFoodPro) and support operational teams with compliance and best practices.
  
  

He Kōrero Mōu / About You

• Hold a formal qualification in Food Science, Food Manufacturing, or Environmental Health.
• Bring at least 5 years of experience in food safety within a multi-site environment.
• Have in-depth knowledge of food safety legislation, standards, and food control plans.
• Demonstrate strong communication, influencing, and business partnering skills.
• Be confident using Microsoft Office and food safety management systems.
