Are you passionate about agronomy and innovative forage systems? Agricom are currently seeking a Forage Systems Specialist based in Kimihia, Christchurch.


This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in research, development, and commercial support for one of the country's leading seed brands. You’ll collaborate with a national team of experts in sales, marketing, technical management, farm management and nutrition to drive farm-based innovation and deliver valuable insights the wider agricultural community.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan, implement, maintain, and report on forage trials.

  • Work closely with the National Technical Manager, Extension Agronomy Team Leader, and other key stakeholders to align forage systems research with commercial strategies.

  • Deliver technical insights and outcomes to internal teams and external partners, including farmers, consultants, contractors, and retail customers.

  • Contribute to sales and marketing initiatives through strategic input and participation in field days, conferences, and customer engagement.

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through detailed reporting and statistical analysis.


What You’ll Bring:


  • A strong background in agronomy, forage systems, or agricultural science.

  • Experience with agricultural trials or research projects.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into practical outcomes.

  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, technical, and research teams.

  • Proven ability to build relationships with farmers, industry stakeholders, and internal teams.

  • A high level of personal organisation and commitment to scientific accuracy.
