Salesforce Service Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Service Cloud Engineer to join a well-known New Zealand retailer on an initial 6-month contract, with possibility for extension. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of their customer care technology landscape as part of a cross-functional squad driving continuous improvement and innovation.

This hands-on engineering role will focus on the development, configuration and integration of Salesforce Service Cloud, with strong links to other platforms and stakeholders across the business. You will be instrumental in uplifting platform maturity, developing bespoke solutions, and contributing to strategic architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the configuration, development, and enhancement of Salesforce Service Cloud solutions within a complex enterprise environment.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and architecture teams across New Zealand and Australia to ensure platform alignment.
• Design and build bespoke system integrations between Salesforce and eCommerce platforms.
• Help shape and influence the architectural direction of the CRM platform while championing technical excellence and process improvement.
• Support and mentor other engineers within the squad and contribute to a collaborative and delivery-focused team culture.
• Work in Agile squads to deliver high-impact solutions that elevate the customer experience and operational effectiveness.
  
  
  

Skills & Capabilities

• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, including configuration and system design.
• Proven experience delivering custom integrations in complex environments
• Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and contributing to cross-functional squads.
• A background in contact centre, customer care, or eCommerce environments is preferred.
• Background in .NET, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and event-driven architecture is highly desirable.
