About The Role

The ICT Manager role is to lead Mercy’s transformation technology initiatives that drive sustainability, compliance, innovation, efficiency, and growth. The role is hands-on and involves leading Mercy’s technology team, managing ICT projects, strategic planning and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to ensure that a fit-for-purpose Information Communication Technology (ICT) environment is maintained and appropriately governed.

Specific duties include

  • Lead Mercy's ICT Team to ensure they have the appropriate tools, resources and support to thrive in their roles
  • Provide technical expertise and advice, enabling informed technology decisions
  • Manage Mercy’s technology infrastructure, systems and network, ensuring they align with business goals and provide effective support
  • Inform and maintain Mercy’s ICT strategy to ensure it aligns with Mercy’s overall strategic objectives
  • Challenge old ways of working and provide guidance for company’s digital efforts to evolve work processes and practices for operational and digital efficiency gains
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, effectiveness and organisational sustainability
  • Identify and support initiatives that help Mercy grow through development of new revenue streams
  • Take a lead role in delivering ICT initiatives on time, on budget and aligned with operational needs
  • Engage key stakeholders with the organisation’s ICT programme


Skills and Experiences:

Skills And Experience

  • Tertiary degree, ideally at post grad level, in information technology, computer science, or business administration
  • Experience leading and working within a technology team
  • Extensive leadership and influencing experience
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies 2 years’ post-graduate experience/clinical background would be favourable
