Heavy Equipment Team Leader

The Opportunity

This position comes at an exciting time for our Invercargill Branch as CablePrice (long standing Hitachi construction equipment supplier) has just been appointed as the New Zealand importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery. As a result, we are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and qualified Heavy Equipment Team Leader. In this role, your focus will be to manage our busy Equipment team and to ensure safety focus is at the forefront of their minds. We are looking for someone that we can invest in, and we want to be a part of your professional development. In addition, you will be joining a supportive and professional team of like-minded people with some of the coolest equipment on offer.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

• Health and Safety Commitment, it is our number one priority here at CablePrice. We look after ourselves and look after each other
• Significant experience in the Heavy Equipment and Machinery industry
• Demonstrated experience or willing to learn to in leading and growing a team to have the single focus.
• Extensive knowledge of Heavy Equipment
• Ability to empower the team to take ownership of their safety practices
• Mechanical capability and technical skills; diagnosing faults and servicing Heavy Equipment
• Excellent diagnostic ability and analytical thinking to navigate complex issues and deliver high quality outcomes
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to run a productive and efficient workshop
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills

• Competitive pay rate: A rewarding pay rate ranging from $40.00 - $47.00 p/hour, dependent on skills and experience + plus 5% for Team Leader duties
