Relieving Responsibilities: Nil.

Internal Customers: Commercial team, Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, regulatory & compliance peers within ADAMA global and the Syngenta Group.

External Customers: Regulators, Consultants, Contract Research Organisations, Collaborators, Laboratories, Agcarm, Suppliers, Customers.

Primary Purpose :

To register new products on time and provide regulatory support for the New Zealand business to delivers the established objectives of the current Work Plan and Five-Year Plan. To ensure exemplary regulatory compliance of the New Zealand business.

Scope/Dimensions :

Work Plan and Five-Year Plan development targets

This position will support the Technical Services & Development Manager as well as play a key role in executing the registration plan and compliance processes supporting the NZ business.

This position may necessitate some planned travel nationally for internal and industry related meetings.

Key Result Areas :

  • Prepare registration submissions for ACVM and EPA as required by Technical Services & Development Manager.
  • Also collaborate with the Australian team to prepare registrations for ACVMA in Australia and potentially other offshore markets.
  • Prepare for and lead stakeholder consultation, e.g. Iwi consultation
  • Prepare defence of products under reassessment by EPA/ACVM.
  • Maintain registration database and filing system for New Zealand and offshore registrations.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance for product range
  • Maintain SDS’ for all products
  • Coordinate registration activities with consultants and laboratories as required
  • Participate in and contribute to establishment of new product development proposals
  • Secure trial permits and ensure full compliance with controls
  • Assist in providing technical support for product launches as required
  • Provide relevant registration and product training for sales team and customers
  • Develop professional relationships with ADAMA Global regulatory community
  • Participate in budget requests relating to regulatory spend
  • Prepare for and be the lead contact for regulator audits
  • Conduct internal and contractors/supplier audits as required
  • Participate in relevant industry events and sector meetings
  • Review systems and processes for continual improvement
  • Review product labels for compliance with NZ regulations

  • Adhere and model a commitment to all ADAMA policies, principles and procedures.
  • Observe and give feedback and recognition to fellow employees, contractors and visitors on safe and unsafe behaviours.
  • Participate in regular company Health and Safety meetings.
  • Ensure the accurate reporting and recording of all Health and Safety incidents, near hits or hazards in a timely fashion using company procedures and systems.
  • Ensure completion of all relevant Health and Safety training.
  • Take all practical steps to work safely at all times and ensure that others do also.
  • Be aware of environmental requirements at all sites and adopt common sense environmental practices. Act in accordance with operating procedures relating to minimising environmental impacts. Take all reasonable precautions to prevent risks to the environment

Preferred Requirements :

Qualifications: Science or Agricultural/Horticultural Science degree.

Work Experience: Extensive crop protection industry experience in regulatory affairs fields.
